Spring Term 1
Autumn Term 2
In Autumn 2, Year 3 took part in a Celebration of the Word focused on Remembrance. In English, we explored Stone Age Boy, using role play to imagine what might happen when the characters met. We celebrated becoming part of the St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, with a special day focused on activities related to St Gabriel. We also enjoyed festive activities including our Christmas party, our Carol Service with Year 4, and ended the term by reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas.
Autumn Term 1
Year 3 have had a fantastic start to the new school year, settling well into their routines and showing great enthusiasm for learning. We enjoyed planning and preparing various Celebrations of the Word and participating in our first Stay & Pray. In Geography, we worked on map reading skills, learning how to use keys and symbols. In Design and Technology, the children loved designing and building castles, showing creativity and teamwork. We have also begun learning the ukulele, which the children are really enjoying.
