Pilgrims of Hope Prayer Bag
As part of our Pilgrims of Hope journey, each child has the special opportunity to take home a Prayer Bag—a sacred space for reflection, prayer, and hope. This beautiful initiative invites families to pause together, share in moments of peace, and strengthen their faith at home. Through simple acts of prayer and reflection, we encourage our children to nurture kindness, gratitude, and a deeper connection with God and the wider world. The Pilgrims of Hope Prayer Bag reminds us that we are all pilgrims—walking together in faith, supporting one another, and bringing hope to our school, our families, and the wider world.
Class Prayer Bags
All children are given the opportunity to take home a class Prayer Bag each week, supporting their faith journey and encouraging families to pray together. Each bag has a special focus that reflects the children’s stage of spiritual development. In Year 3, the Prayer Bag helps children and their families reflect on the beauty and meaning of the Holy Eucharist as a joyful thanksgiving to God. In Year 6, the Prayer Bag invites pupils to learn from the lives of the saints, drawing inspiration from their faith and courage as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. The Prayer Bags in Nursery, Years 1, 2, and 4 offer more general opportunities for prayer and reflection, helping families to explore different ways of coming closer to God and nurturing a spirit of love, faith, and togetherness within the home on a shared journey of faith, walking together in love and hope.
